HRH Princess Dame Angelique “Ademiposi” Monet
Award winning talent Angelique Monét is considered a “Living Legend” pronounced by the prestigious Historical Black Colleges and Universities USA (since 1800’s) and holds the Royal Nobility titles of (Her Royal Highness Princess Dame) based upon her lineage, humanitarian efforts, and contribution to the arts, is an American multi-media talent and former Ms. Black South Carolina USA. Monét attended St. Augustines University graduating with a degree in mass communications. Monét is also the world’s only stage actress and ventriloquist. In 2001, she performed on Theater Row her one-woman Off-Broadway show Multiple Me written by Edgar Chisholm, where she portrayed several personalities and her ventriloquist figure had multiple personalities in addition to those Monét portrayed. She is listed under “A History of Modern Day Ventriloquism,” cited for her one-woman play and changing modern day ventriloquism, Notable Ventriloquist, and listed under wikipedia as being a beauty pageant winner. As of August 2019 she was made a “Living Legend,” by the Historical Black Colleges and Universities. She has also received honors endorsed by Former Prime Minister Theresa May for her contribution in the arts and during the 72nd United Nations Sessions for her contributions on World Peace through the arts.
She began her career at the age of 17 as a journalist and has been on-air/ behind the scenes at NBC, CBS, UPN, PBS, and syndication of her own television children’s show in top markets by the age of 20.
After her network television career, she agreed and was to be the youngest Account Executive Manager of RCN performing 110 % over quota, for the 1st facilities based American provider to create easements with residential managements firms to sale the fiber optic network before implemented world wide.
Once her role was complete, she began writing and acting in her own productions through her company Greta Joanne Entertainment. Films have been distributed world wide theatrical and digitally while premiering at prestigious festivals, including Festival de Cannes. She has acted along side Hollywood legends Angel Salazar (Scarface, Carlitos Way), Golden Globe Nominee Steven Bauer (Scarface, AMC’s Breaking Bad), and Latin mambo sensation Tito Puente Jr. In addition to helping in promotions and distribution of films with Danny Glover, Isaiah Washington, Academy Nominee Graham Green, Academy Winner Jeff Bridges, just to make a few.
Greta Joanne Entertainment now has licensing to over 500 hours of programming, is a sales agent, event production company, and is in pre-production stages to over 30 projects in various genres. Seeing the need to assist minorities in global distribution, and exposure, she formulated the Hamptons Black International Film Festival which later became Artisan Festival International World Peace Initiative, a global movement to utilize all components of the arts to help in World Peace Relations. The organization is now within the outreach campaign of “New Generation In Action” a United Nations approved NGO with Consultative Status. The group aides in humanitarian efforts in the promotion of film, fine art, fashion, music, in addition to youth and women empowerment campaigns to promote world peace, cultural diversity, underserved and under-represented people, and economic stability through the arts.
Monét is also Founder of Nothing On Television TV, a Video On Demand digital platform which first launched on DISH Satellite TV. She has interviewed top tier veterans such as Academy Award Winner Morgan Freeman, Golden Globe Winner Alan Alda, Music Mogul Russel Simmons, David Morse just to name a few.
The multi-media talent is also a singer and composer with an album on iTunes/ digital platforms and has performed on stage with Grammy Winner Brian McKnight, comedians Sinbad, legendary Paul Mooney with ventriloquist figure ‘Lil Licious, creators of Sesame Street with “Gracie the Pig,” and sang with Indian musician and dancer Chevalier Dr. Raghunath Manet.
Monét has also performed for the United Nations Women Guild at the United Nations Headquarters as a singer and ventriloquist for the Women’s Bizarre under the Patronage of Catrina Marques de Almeida Vaz Pinto. Other performances include “Namaste Festival Paris) at Petit Palais, Off Broadway NYC, the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York, events during Festival de Cannes, Luxembourg Parliament in front of European Commission Chairman Jean-Claude Juncker, United Kingdom House of Parliament not limited to.
Monét is also a public speaker who has spoken at the African Union Headquarters in New York City with Former United Nations Ambassador His Excellency Tete Antonio, and Her Excellency Amb. Fatima Mohammed, the United Nations for Gandhi Day, Children’s Day, and International Day of Peace. She has also spoken at Schools, Universities, and churches. She has appeared on panels with diplomats, celebrities, politicians, and humanitarians. Her dialogue specializes in world peace relations, indigenous preservation, self esteem, women’s empowerment, and her days of being diagnosed with a learning disability and being placed temporary in special education courses and an advocate for depression awareness.
