Since 2015, he’s served on the Jury of Cyprus International Film Festival and Bridges International Film Festival (Greece). Through his cooperative media NGO, Collaborative Media International, he develops a variety of socially informed initiatives focused on sites of confrontation and contestation. A broadly trained and experienced academic, advocate, filmmaker, and entrepreneur, Roberson was Fulbright Scholar to Morocco, holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. A trained urbanist, he’s researched in over sixty countries and once hitch-hiked across the Sahara for a good dose of the rural. A US American, in recent years he’s lived in Guatemala? where he lived for two year making his new film «JOSE» (2018) – a simple story about love: it world premiered at the 75th Venice Film Festival on 6 September 2018 and was awarded the Queer Lion.
