Synopsis: Breaking out of a psychiatric institution, Spooky and Linda are confronted with an unknown world. On their journey, they would need trust in themselves and in their companion, which gets even more difficult with Carl, who unexpectedly joins the company. A small adventure becomes quite a big challenge.

|Notes:||Don’t make a film about retarded people, they said. It’s not a film about retarded people, I replied. It’s a film about trust. It’s a story about ordinary people having problems in an unknown world. Spooky and Linda (15minutes, 2014) is an unusual short film and sticks out from all the other short films made in Switzerland because of it’s ability to look at a heavy handed topic in a light hearted way. Despite that my country is known for it’s sweet chocolate and glory full mountains this short film is showing a different kind of scenery. A scenery set in the capital of Switzerland, where two troubled souls have difficulties to integrate themselves back into society. In this clean city, people show litte understanding for others problems. I was fortunate to have worked with two of the top notch Swiss actors Carla Juri and Marcus Signer. Carla is two times Swiss Film Prize winner, nominated for best actress in Germany 2014 and starring in Wetlands (Sundance 2014). Rolling Stone wrote about her in Wetlands: „… That’s because actress Carla Juri, … , is a blazing wonder as Helen. … And if Oscar didn’t have a stick up his ass, Juri would be a nominee for Best Actress. Yup, she’s that good. Your move.“ And Marcus, Swiss Film Prize winner as well, is one of the most respected and popular actors in the German film Industry. After it’s world premiere at the prestigious Max-Ophuls Film Festival in January, Spooky and Linda went on to screen as a part of a short film block in several theaters in Switzerland. But as a first time director I would love to experience this short being screened beyond the german speaking region.|
